"KNOWLEDGE IS POWER" is often an overused understatement, especially when someone actually has to make an informed decision about something significant.
Knowledge alone is not power… it’s just a thing. Whether or not it can be utilized to one's benefit (and how) is where the actual power lives. This applies to anything… life, finance, investing, cooking cleaning homemaking, even education. When utilized properly, in any aspect of life, it's the ultimate value-add... socially, professionally, intuitively, there's no limit. But, the information has to be useful; otherwise, it's just noise... usually conflicting.
That’s why I emphasize “useful knowledge… is power[ful]," as in introspective thoughts, collaboration, various resources, great minds and informed ideas working together towards a common goal - that is, the ability to make significant or remedial decisions for ourselves throughout our own lives. At the very least, as a people, we should all be able to assess what we think will work best for us through trial and error or whatever other means we find useful and/or impactful in accomplishing a particular goal or task. But, what happens when you haven’t had a certain life experience or been exposed to certain things? As Maya Angelou so eloquently stated: "When you learn, teach...!"
Having dependable resources is imperative for clarity of intention and self-advocacy. With that, it’s not enough for me to just post DIY home improvement projects when there’s SO much knowledge and life experience that I have to offer to anyone who might benefit from the information. My brand values speak for themselves. I am a true DIY’er at my core in all walks of my life and it has served me well, all things considered; albeit, certainly accompanied by deliberate setbacks and blatant adversity that I think others can learn from. By design, all of my content adds value in some way shape or form - even if it’s a simple staging hack, design trick, motivational tip, candid insight, or data-driven facts about finance and real estate.
Knowledge comes in all forms… what’s most important is how we use it.
