During 2020, when social media exploded, I’m actually not sure what rock I was living under. For sure, if I was 10 years younger, I would have been TikTok famous (I love to dance!), but I just had no interest in social media at all. If I’m being completely honest, I tend to shy away from trends (or what I call “hype”) - perhaps, a personality flaw...? I suppose. Either way, when I pivoted from real estate sales to entrepreneurship in 2022, I quickly realized that I would not be successful in any business without having a social media presence. This was a struggle, as I’m sure you can imagine! After much trial and error (denial and ignorance), I got serious about growing my online business, and I made my first Instagram post (ever) in May 2023!
In July 2023, I enrolled in a 10-week digital marketing course and completed the curriculum in September 2023 - what an eye-opening experience that was for me! I recognize that I could have binge-watched a bunch of free videos on YouTube, but I 100% would not be able to appreciate or even conceptualize the benefits of having the skills required of a digital marketer. Anyway, and thus my "creator" journey began, and I have no plans of slowing down. I moved 2500 miles across the country from everything I knew to lay the foundation for this next chapter of my life. I’ve grown not only personally, but also professionally embarking on the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my whole entire life - that’s starting a small business… with minimal grasp on social media or the new digital age, and that’s putting it nicely! Needless to say, I’ve come a long way and I am super proud to call myself an entrepreneur.
Today, I assist home owners and home buyers in making their house a home (or preparing it for sale) via various digital products and in depth videos.
